Job summary

Symetra is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to plan and execute medium to large cross-functional technical programs. You will work with product managers, engineering teams, and executives to align roadmaps, scope, and delivery timelines.

You will monitor program health, address risks, manage vendor coordination, and drive data-driven decisions. The role requires mentoring other managers and fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management or similar roles.
• Deep technical background with knowledge of software development and related domains.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end planning and execution of complex, cross-functional technical programs from concept to delivery.
• Serve as main point of contact for product managers, engineering teams, and executives.
• Develop roadmaps, scope, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
• Monitor program health, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate vendor contracts, risk reviews, and vendor management activities.
• Clarify goals, manage dependencies, and ensure seamless integration across teams.
• Oversee post-launch activities, gather feedback, and drive improvements.
• Partner with product to identify KPIs and make data-driven decisions; mentor peers.
