Responsible for providing quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards, and ensuring completeness of submission. Obtain necessary information (loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, where the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $58,000 to $70,000.

What You’ll Do

• Review loan submissions, monitor incoming documents, and verify data collected by Brokers.
• Obtain necessary information to process and complete mortgage loan files.
• Input loan information into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
• Maintain open files, order appraisals, send verifications, and acquire documentation related to Borrower and property.
• Ensure quality and compliance with company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
• Process loans to meet company and investor guidelines.
• Communicate with external parties such as Escrow Officers, Title Officers, Realtors, and Appraisal Management Companies to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues and inform relevant stakeholders about loan status.
• Review and evaluate credit information to determine acceptability for loan programs.
• Verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
• Submit completed files for underwriting approval.
• Obtain necessary stipulations to clear prior to docs and funding.
• Meet deadlines for disclosures, approval letters, and denial notices.
• Process 4506T, lock confirmations, and Change of Circumstance requests.
• Monitor pipeline to ensure timely funding.
• Assist Post Closing Department as needed.

What You'll Need

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle detailed tasks and prioritize workload.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of loan processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass/Empower and automated underwriting engines preferred.
