Responsible for providing quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards, and ensuring completeness of submission. Obtains necessary information (i.e., loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations. The target pay range for this position is $58,000.00 to $70,000.00.

What You’ll Do

1. Review loan submissions, monitor incoming documents, and verify data collected by Brokers.
2. Obtain necessary information (loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files.
3. Input loan information into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
4. Maintain open files, order appraisals, send verifications, and acquire documentation related to Borrower and property.
5. Ensure work quality and compliance with company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
6. Process loans to meet company and investor guidelines.
7. Communicate with external parties such as Escrow Officers, Title Officers, Realtors, and Appraisal Management Companies to resolve issues.
8. Coordinate with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues and inform relevant parties about loan statuses.
9. Review and evaluate credit information on mortgage loan documents.
10. Verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
11. Submit completed files to Underwriting for approval.
12. Obtain stipulations to clear prior to docs and funding as required.
13. Meet compliance deadlines for disclosures, approval letters, and denial notices.
14. Process 4506T, lock confirmations, and Change of Circumstance requests.
15. Monitor pipeline to ensure timely loan funding.
16. Assist Post Closing Department with secondary market purchases as needed.

What You'll Need

• Maintain confidentiality of borrower information according to privacy policies.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage loan processing and underwriting guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle detailed tasks and prioritize workload.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of loan processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass/Empower and AUS tools like DU or LP preferred.
