Lever, Inc. is seeking a Market Curation Editor (Sports) for a fully remote role, with Spain as the base. You will review and refine automatically generated sports markets, ensuring accuracy, clarity and timely resolution for a fast-moving social-predictions platform.

The role combines sports expertise, editorial discipline, and structured decision-making under deadlines, covering professional and collegiate leagues and applying league conventions. Flexibility for live-event coverage is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sports trading, data ops, journalism or editorial role.
• Up-to-date knowledge of professional and collegiate sports across major leagues.
• Strong familiarity with sports culture, breaking news and sports-focused social media.
• Working knowledge of official rules and settlement conventions across major sports leagues.
• Proven ability to make sound judgments on complex cases with suspended/abandoned events or statistical corrections.
• Ability to interpret authoritative sources quickly and reach clear conclusions.
• Excellent written communication and editorial precision in rules and criteria.
• Ability to work within policies/guidelines and escalate uncertainty when needed.
• Highly organized and able to meet strict daily deadlines.
• Flexible for evening, overnight, and weekend work during live events.

Responsibilities

• Review daily queues of system-generated sports markets against deadlines.
• Assess markets for factual accuracy, clarity, timing, and resolvable criteria.
• Verify market opening/closing times against events and delays.
• Apply league-specific settlement conventions (OT, suspensions, etc.).
• Review markets against content policies and escalate when needed.
• Approve, edit or reject markets with structured, accurate reasons.
• Rewrite questions and resolution language to be precise and fan-friendly.
• Create timestamped clarifications during live markets and resolve settlement exceptions.
• Monitor live markets for issues and surface events missed by automation.
• Participate in calibration reviews to maintain editorial consistency.
• Contribute to high standards for decision quality and proactive market discovery.
