Placements24 is seeking a high-caliber Remote Sports Data Scientist to design and deploy advanced models on sports data, translating insights into strategic recommendations for athletes and organizations. You will work with a globally distributed team to analyze performance metrics, build scalable data pipelines, and deliver compelling visualizations and reports.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data science with sports data, strong Python or R skills, and experience with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on sports data.
Strong programming skills in Python or R and libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
Experience with SQL, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with ML frameworks, data visualization tools, and communicating insights.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy statistical models and ML algorithms for sports data.
Analyze large datasets on athlete performance, game stats, and fan engagement.
Build data pipelines ensuring data quality and robust analysis.
