Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents across post-acute, long-term care and home health settings. You will administer evaluations, develop individualized plans, and deliver therapy to orthopedic, neurological, and swallowing conditions in a team-focused environment.

You may supervise aides and students, participate in education for peers, and contribute to quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required per state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA CCC or CFY preferred when working at Sanford Health Facility.
• May require valid driver's license.
• Maintains required department competencies and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech and language evaluations and plans treatments for clients with various speech problems and swallowing disorders.
• Provides speech and language services to clients with speech, language, cognitive or swallowing problems and develops individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
• Monitors disease progression and adjusts treatments accordingly; ensures compliance with departmental guidelines and regulations.
• Demonstrates documentation and follows accepted clinical practice guidelines; participates in activities to promote the department and organization.
• May supervise assistants, aides, and students; provides ongoing education and training to peers.
• Performs other related duties as requested by manager; may focus on post-acute, long-term care and home health settings when applicable.
