Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
• Alabama Special Education teaching certificate required.
• Experience with PreK12 students with disabilities preferred.
• Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance.
• Experience delivering instruction in a virtual/remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote specialized instruction to PreK–12 students via online platform.
• Develop instruction based on IEP goals and learning needs.
• Develop, maintain, and update IEPs per Alabama requirements.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction and interventions as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and school staff.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Create engaging, accessible, and differentiated virtual lessons and activities.
• Use evidence-based instructional strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families and school teams regarding student progress.
