Job summary

Aurex, an aerospace innovator, seeks a mid-level Spacecraft Thermal Design and Analysis Engineer to support spacecraft thermal management and insulation systems in a fully remote role. You will use CREO CAD and CREO/Ansys Simulation to develop integrated thermal analyses and translate results into practical designs for MLI, cryo-MLI, and spray-on foam insulation.

Collaboration across engineering disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in CREO CAD modeling and maintenance of component/assembly models.
• Experienced with CREO and Ansys for integrated thermal analysis.
• Working knowledge of heat transfer (conduction, convection, radiation) in design.
• Ability to translate analysis results into design recommendations with rationale.
• Clear engineering documentation and communication of findings.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and document passive thermal insulation systems (MLI, cryo-MLI, spray-on foam).
• Develop CREO CAD models to support thermal analysis and system integration.
• Perform integrated thermal analyses using CREO and Ansys to guide design decisions.
• Define analysis assumptions, material properties, boundary conditions, and results.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and other teams to meet thermal requirements.
• Prepare engineering drawings, analysis reports, and supporting documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate findings for revisions.
