Job summary

SHI is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect - SDDC to lead design and deployment of data center automation initiatives. You will mentor consultants and ensure seamless integration with existing systems while guiding projects from pre-sales through post-sales engagements.

The role is remote with a home office setup determined by SHI management, offering opportunities to work on modern private cloud solutions and enterprise infrastructure across varied client environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture or infrastructure.
• 7+ years of experience with VMware in enterprise environments.
• 8-10+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility.
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform low-level design and implementation work including architecture analysis and design, system migration, and systems engineering.
• Design and implement VMware VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) 9.x, both Brownfield and Greenfield; Aria Automation and Ops.
• Provide automation with SaltStack, Terraform, and Ansible; proficiency in PowerShell/PowerCLI/JavaScript.
• Lead technical aspects of projects, mentor team members, and ensure successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with sales and presales to identify and close professional services opportunities.
• Stay current on industry trends and provide guidance in pre-sales and post-sales capacity.
