Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions seeks a Solutions Architect to lead enterprise architecture across the organization, aligning software engineering, data, security and product lines. You will design modernization roadmaps, validate solutions with prototypes, and guide teams through architectural decisions.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, award‑winning collaboration, and the development of reusable, secure architectures for cloud platforms and AI integration.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in information systems development, maintenance, implementation and support
• Master’s or advanced degree preferred in Computer Science or MIS
• Hands-on software engineering; experience with integrations, debugging and POC tooling
• Cloud architecture knowledge: AWS, APIs, containers, event-driven systems, data platforms
• Experience building and evaluating single-agent and multi-agent AI solutions
• Ability to influence across boundaries and translate priorities into tech decisions

Responsibilities

• Guide enterprise architecture strategy and maintain current/target views for apps, data and platforms
• Develop modernization roadmaps with cross-functional teams and address debt/risks
• Define standards, references, and reusable capabilities for cloud, APIs and data exchange
• Lead design tradeoffs on cost, security, scalability, reliability and observability
• Design and test agentic AI proofs of concept and integration with enterprise tools
• Mentor engineers and present architecture outcomes to stakeholders
