Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Solution Architect to join the Health Technology Management Services (HTMS) team. The selected candidate will provide contracted support to the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology.

The Solution Architect will document current state architectures and develop solution architectures. The ideal candidate understands data architectures, challenges of system interoperability and understands project and program management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related discipline is required.
• 15 years of related experience; 10 years can substitute for education.
• Expert-level knowledge and highly innovative problem-solving capabilities.
• Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance industry experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines, including short-notice requests.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a holistic view of the organization’s current IT architecture and future modernization plans.
• Build trusted advisory relationships with the client and stakeholders.
• Create technology roadmaps and runways aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Interface with users to determine needs and document requirements.
• Manage and track architectural data across products and teams.
