Job summary

Lumen Energy is seeking a highly organized leader to quarterback solar and battery project development across a multi-hundred MW portfolio. You will coordinate site plan approvals, lender consents, and incentive applications while guiding a broad set of stakeholders from owners to EPCs.

You will lead client engagements with institutional portfolio teams, drive post-signing workstreams to COD, and build scalable processes, dashboards, and relationships to grow our business with top commercial

Qualifications

• 2–6 years in management consulting, investment banking, commercial real estate, renewable energy development, or a similar client-facing role.
• Run multiple workstreams at once with rigor to keep dozens of open items moving across many parties.
• Strong communicator who can simplify complex technical or legal detail for a senior, non-technical audience.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build a function, not just run one.
• Ready to own outcomes directly rather than advise on them.
• Nice to have: prior work with sophisticated clients, especially institutional CRE owners.
• Nice to have: familiarity with solar or renewable energy development (interconnection, permitting, incentive and community solar programs).
• Nice to have: exposure to real estate transaction documents (leases, SNDAs, lender consents).
• Nice to have: experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM.

Responsibilities

• Owner engagement system: Build and run a structured, predictable way of bringing development items to building owners and provide clear asks with deadlines.
• Issue resolution: Spot risks to timeline or economics and drive them to resolution, advising on trade-offs as needed.
• Deal execution from lease signature to COD: Drive post-signing workstreams to close including site plan review, lender items, and incentive program applications.
• Quarterly reviews and look-aheads: Lead sessions with owner stakeholders and executives to review progress and upcoming milestones.
• Building the playbook: Design processes, dashboards, and communication standards for scaling across the portfolio.
• Relationships: Build trusted relationships with developer partners and property managers, turning outcomes into case studies.
