Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Soil and Water Conservation Scientist to evaluate AI-generated content on soil and water conservation topics. The role emphasizes scientific accuracy, erosion control, watershed management, and healthy soil practices.

You’ll work asynchronously, remotely, and on a 10–40 hour/week freelance basis. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in soil science or related fields, strong knowledge of environmental processes, and the ability to critique AI-driven reasoning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in soil science, hydrology, or conservation planning.
• Strong working knowledge of soil processes, water systems, and conservation techniques.
• Able to critically evaluate applied environmental science reasoning and identify errors.
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated soil and water conservation scenarios for scientific accuracy and practical validity.
• Assess content related to erosion control, watershed management, and soil health.
• Identify flawed assumptions, oversimplifications, or impractical recommendations in AI outputs.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve scientific rigor, depth, and clarity.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
