Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Software Security Lead to own security across the IT and Enterprise Operations portfolio. You will translate threat trends and security debt into priorities and collaborate with Product, Engineering, IT and BISO partners to align security with business goals.

You will set architecture security standards, lead threat modeling and secure design reviews, and drive security outcomes across teams. This remote role can be performed anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with 7+ years in software/security.
• Experience leading threat modeling and secure design reviews for complex systems, including AI features.
• Ability to translate findings from SAST/DAST/SCA into remediation guidance across cloud-native apps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to influence engineering and product leadership without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio security risk and maintain a data-driven posture across IT and Enterprise Operations.
• Review secure designs, set architecture standards, and advise on security by design and by default.
• Manage threat modeling and align security priorities with business objectives and product roadmaps.
• Coordinate with Security SMEs across cryptography, identity, and data security during releases.
