Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Software Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, install, upgrade, and maintain Varian software per guidelines. This role serves as the primary customer contact for software issues within a designated territory and requires strong communication with customers and teams.

The position is primarily remote with up to 20% travel, and offers vendor credentialing and comprehensive benefits. Strong technical and interpersonal skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• HS Degree or Equivalent required; associate/technical training preferred.
• Experience with Windows Server, hardware, networking, and database administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and communicate clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair VMS systems in territory.
• Install, modify, and upgrade software per guidelines.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site support and upgrades.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in CRM.
• Perform preventative maintenance on software per guidelines.
• Assess urgency and follow through to resolution.
• Escalate incidents when needed and seek assistance from senior staff.
• Build strong customer relationships with clear communication.
• Stay fluent in product lines and learn new information.
