Job summary

Performance Systems Development is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the software engineering team powering energy efficiency software. You will oversee .NET and React developers, QA, and data-intensive roles, ensuring delivery, quality, and accurate energy models for client work and product development.

The role emphasizes people leadership with limited hands-on work, strong cross‑functional communication, and a commitment to software craftsmanship in a distributed/remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software development, including enterprise software.
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineers.
• Strong working knowledge of agile development and Scrum (CSM/PSM a plus).
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools across the SDLC, including AI-assisted coding/testing.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated testing strategies.
• Experience leading a remote or distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead PSD's software engineering team of .NET and React developers, QA, and specialized roles.
• Deliver product development and contracted client work with a focus on people, delivery, and quality.
• Turn demand into predictable sprint commitments with Product Manager and Delivery Managers.
• Coordinate with Software Architect on technical direction and ensure data accuracy in models.
• Maintain high standards of software craftsmanship and cross‑functional communication.
