Job summary

Amplify is seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team for a 10-week paid summer internship. The role is remote with a 2-day in-person experience at Amplify HQ in Brooklyn, NY, and requires availability June 7 to August 13, 2027.

Ideal candidates enjoy building clean, scalable software and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers across web and mobile platforms. Strong communication and a passion for EdTech are valued.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Full-time availability for the summer program (June 7–August 13, 2027).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize information and communicate insights clearly.
• Interest in K-12 education technology and product development.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and testing of software features across Amplify's web and mobile product suite.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt.
• Assist with code reviews, unit/integration testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to technical documentation and internal resources.
• Track issues in project management and version control systems to support sprint goals.
• Participate in product demos and engineering meetings to learn Amplify's stack.
