Job summary

Amplify is seeking a creative and user-centered Product Design Intern to join our team this summer and help craft intuitive, visually compelling, and accessible digital experiences for educators, students, and families who use our products.

This paid, remote 10-week internship offers real impact on products used by millions of students and teachers, with a brief in-person 2-day experience at Amplify HQ in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Full-time availability to participate from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and communicate insights clearly.
• Knowledge of and interest in the K–12 education technology field.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end design process — from initial concept and wireframing through prototyping, user testing, and final design delivery — across Amplify's web and mobile product suite.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, and User Research to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, well‑crafted design solutions.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of design system components, UI patterns, style guides, and interaction specifications to ensure consistency across products.
• Build interactive, code-based prototypes (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS) to test design solutions and communicate interaction and motion patterns to engineering.
• Contribute to user research activities including usability testing, user interviews, competitive analysis, and synthesis of research findings into actionable design insights.
