Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Software Engineer, New Grad, for a fully remote role targeting recent graduates. You will work across full-stack systems, from backend services to frontend interfaces, shipping production features and improving platforms used by engineering and operations teams.

You will learn rapidly in a fast-moving environment, contribute to data modeling, API design, and observability, and grow ownership of critical systems over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or related field, recent graduate or graduating soon.
• Experience from internships, co-ops, research, or personal projects building software.
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Frontend and backend exposure with Node.js and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of end-to-end fullstack systems.
• Build backend services and APIs with maintainable code.
• Develop frontend interfaces for internal tools and end users.
• Model data and optimize database performance.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and design to deliver features.
• Improve quality via code reviews, tests, and docs.
• Troubleshoot production issues and build observable systems.
• Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability.
