Job summary

Akina Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to join a mission-focused team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining complex software in a Kubernetes Linux environment with TS/SCI-Poly clearance.

Telework are supported as part of a dynamic enterprise application project. The candidate will collaborate with Product Owners and System Engineers to deliver a scalable web application, using Docker, Linux, Python, and modern CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline and related work experience.
• Diverse software development experience across Linux environments.
• Experience with endpoints, REST interfaces, and API design.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance software systems.
• Review and test components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and sustain enterprise web applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, and perform performance tuning.
• Develop data queries and integrate software with databases.
