Job summary

Mitratech Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our engineering team in a support-oriented role. You will triage and resolve technical escalations, communicate with stakeholders, and ship fixes end-to-end across Ruby on Rails and Go stacks.

This is ideal for an early-career engineer gaining production experience with modern backend technologies. You will work to improve debugging, documentation, and runbooks while following secure development practices, with remote eligibility

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Go; Python a plus.
• Relational databases; ability to read/write SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Strong debugging instincts and log analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with AI tools in workflow; ability to review AI output.
• Ownership mindset; follow tickets end-to-end.
• Unix shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Own the resolution of technical escalation tickets: investigate, reproduce, and diagnose issues.
• Communicate with stakeholders to gather context and report on resolution status.
• Identify tickets for self-service engineering; write code, open PRs, review and deploy.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate triage and draft candidate code solutions.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and reduce recurring escalations.
• Follow secure development practices: least-privilege access and secrets management.
