Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Software Engineer (GitHub Contributor) to build reproducible Reinforcement Learning environments and contribute to AI training data. You will implement tests, verifiers, and feature work across languages such as Python, C++, Go, and TypeScript.

As a contractor, you’ll collaborate with a distributed team, start quickly after onboarding, and showcase a strong GitHub profile. If needed, a HackerRank assessment may be used to evaluate skills.

Qualifications

• Clear open source contributions and a GitHub profile to showcase them.
• Experience with backend development and building scalable services.
• Comfort with debugging, performance improvements and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute expert-level code samples and development insights in Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement robust new features with scalability and maintainability in mind.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code for clarity and efficiency.
• Document reasoning and code decisions to enhance AI training data quality.
