Michaels Energy is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain software solutions for internal operations and client programs. You will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand needs, develop effective solutions, and continuously improve applications, tools, and workflows.

The role covers application development, systems integration, and AI-enabled solutions, with opportunities to work on cloud deployments and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering/Information Systems or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development or application development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language.
• Experience developing and maintaining business applications, web applications, or automated workflows.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relational databases.
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications using Python, Quickbase, and web technologies.
• Develop software that supports calculations, models, data processing, and workflows.
• Develop and enhance Quickbase applications, including data models, interfaces, reports, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Support modernization and migration of legacy applications and platforms.
• Write, maintain, and improve code for business applications and client-facing solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and improve performance and reliability.
• Respond to support requests within SLAs and follow best practices for testing, documentation, and security.
