Job summary

First Citizens Bank seeks a Software Engineer Consultant - Hogan to join the Information Technology Merger and Acquisition team. The role covers all phases of system conversion projects, from requirements to execution, and involves leading complex programs, mentoring peers, and delivering technical solutions for bank systems.

The ideal candidate will have Hogan IDS experience, strong COBOL/JCL/EasyTrieve skills, and familiarity with SDLC methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance
Advanced experience with Hogan IDS (DDA/TDA), CIS, RPM or other similar deposit or loan systems
Advanced experience with customer or account conversions
Advanced Experience with programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and EasyTrieve
Experience with ChangeMan or similar code repository system
Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems
In depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile

Responsibilities

Leads data-file analysis to determine conversion approach and builds programs and reports
Provides technical support and develops solutions for complex system issues
Mentors associates and serves as a technical resource
Aligns development projects with long-term business needs and technological direction for future conversions
