Software Developer – SmartPlant Products

Hexagon is seeking a Software Developer to develop and upgrade solutions for SmartPlant products. This position is remote and can be located in the Southeast, Central, or Eastern time zones.

No visa sponsorship will be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an agile development team comprising software developers, certification and quality assurance, and technical writers to develop and upgrade products.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of software development using agile methodologies, including requirements analysis.
• Design and support the implementation of enhancements, including new functions and features for the Smart® Completions software product.
• Develop cloud web-based solutions that include GUIs, reports, and dashboards.
• Evolve the mobile solution into a world-class system using the latest technologies.
• Interact with planning/design teams, conduct product requirements analysis, create prototypes, and support implementation and testing for all new releases and iterations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Practical experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Angular/React/Vue, C#, SQL, REST APIs, and Scrum.
• Preferred: cross-platform frameworks such as Xamarin or MAUI.
• Preferred: reporting tools (Crystal Reports) and dashboard software (Power BI).
• Preferred: containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure app services.
