Job summary

CAI is seeking a Software Developer Intern for a fully remote, full-time summer program in the United States. The position runs 9 weeks, with 40 hours per week, and requires availability during core hours (ET).

You will gain hands-on experience by developing features, fixing software issues, and learning from ongoing projects. Ideal candidates are pursuing a CS/Software Development degree, have a 3.5+ GPA, and are familiar with programming languages and SDLC.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering, Geography/GIS, or related field.
• Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
• Knowledge of programming languages and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming techniques and SDLC.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software of low complexity.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Design software or customize software for client use to optimize efficiency.
• Code and modify applications from layout to function.
• Develop new features and maintain existing applications.
• Debug issues and provide solutions.
• Write testable, efficient code using best practices.
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.
