Job summary

Iowa State University’s Center for Survey Statistics and Methodology is seeking a Software Developer II to contribute to software for the USDA-funded NRI survey and other CSSM projects. Responsibilities include software development, database programming, and web application work within a team that collaborates with NRCS, BLM, NASS and SBRS.

Candidates should have hands-on programming in C/C++, C#, Python, or Java, web development with JavaScript, and experience with databases such as Oracle,

• Programming in C/C++, C#, Python or Java.
• Web development with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React/Redux/jQuery/JSON.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, or Berkeley DB.

Responsibilities

• Programming experience using C/C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Web development using JavaScript and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, jQuery, and JSON.
• Experience using database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, or Berkeley DB.
• Experience in survey science or survey development.
• Experience with NRCS NRI survey process and systems.
