Job summary

The Sociable Society is seeking a creative Social Media Video Editor to join our Creator Growth team. You will transform long-form footage into high-performing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, while preserving each creator’s voice and brand identity.

As a fully remote, full-time role, you’ll collaborate with creators and internal teams to deliver engaging content across campaigns, sponsorships, and organic posts, staying ahead of trends and delivering timely

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience editing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Proven experience editing content for influencers, digital creators, brands, or creator-focused businesses.
• Advanced proficiency in professional editing software (Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of social media storytelling, audience retention, platform optimization, and current editing trends.

Responsibilities

• Transform long-form videos into engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Edit creator content including organic posts, sponsored brand collaborations, campaigns, and marketing assets.
• Identify compelling moments, craft hooks, and optimize pacing for retention and engagement.
• Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, music, and effects to elevate content performance.
• Maintain each creator's voice, tone, and brand identity while meeting partner requirements.
• Stay on top of platform trends and best practices across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Collaborate with creators and internal teams to deliver high-quality creative.
• Organize project files and editing workflows while managing multiple creators and deadlines.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and campaign timelines.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve editing processes and content performance.
