PETA is seeking a Social Media Content Creator to grow our presence on X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The role focuses on emotionally evocative, minimal-word content and strong visuals to advance animal rights messaging.

You will collaborate with fellow creators, strategists, and managers to plan posts, analyze performance, and adapt strategies to engage a large online audience while staying true to PETA’s campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience creating social media content with proven engagement
• Knowledge of platform demographics (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok)
• Excellent writing and organizational skills for fast-paced posting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Willing to work holidays and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to craft emotionally evocative content for Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook and TikTok
• Ensure posts are engaging, accurate, and aligned with PETA campaigns
• Analyze post-performance and replicate success to grow following
• Tailor content to target audiences and their behaviours
• Stay on top of trends and translate memes into meaningful content for campaigns
• Be flexible with real-time posting and occasional events in local areas
