Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a SOC Engineer for a remote, contract-based opportunity with one of our IT infrastructure clients. The role offers a starting hourly rate of $38–$48, with shifts covering overnight to accommodate the client’s timezone.

The contract extends through February 2027 with potential for renewal based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities include reviewing alerts, coordinating incident responses, and establishing runbooks and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with SOC operations and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools and alert triage.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and validate analyst accounts and access to tools.
• Understand, enrich, and route security alerts; create cases as defined.
• Coordinate incident response; manage escalations per matrix and engage vendors as needed.
• Produce daily operational summaries and post-incident reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotation for Priority 1 incidents.
• Support holiday coverage if required.
