Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a remote Snowflake Data Engineer for a 6+ month contract. You will design, develop, and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, and objects to support analytics and BI.

Responsibilities include modeling, writing complex Snowflake SQL, and tuning performance. 5+ years in data engineering and Snowflake Certification are required, with collaboration across architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Snowflake Certification is required.
• Hands-on experience developing within Snowflake.
• Expertise creating and managing Snowflake objects (databases, schemas, tables, views).
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization.
• Experience with dimensional modeling (star schemas) and fact/dimension design.
• Proven Snowflake performance tuning and optimization experience.
• Experience with large-scale data warehousing and analytics.
• Solid understanding of database design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and other objects.
• Create and optimize data models to support analytics and BI.
• Develop fact and dimension tables using dimensional modeling.
• Write and optimize complex Snowflake SQL queries, procedures, and transformations.
• Implement performance tuning, clustering, and warehouse sizing.
• Monitor Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain Snowflake-native features like materialized views, streams, and tasks.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across Snowflake environments.
