Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a senior Data Engineer for a remote, six-plus month contract focused on Snowflake data warehousing and analytics. You will design, develop, and optimize Snowflake objects, data models, and complex SQL queries to support BI initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering and a Snowflake certification, with hands-on experience in dimensional modeling, performance tuning, and governance across large-scale environments.

Formación

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer, Snowflake Developer, or similar role.
• Snowflake Certification required.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake development experience.
• Expertise creating and managing Snowflake objects (databases, schemas, tables, views).
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with dimensional modeling, star schemas, and fact/dimension design.
• Proven Snowflake performance tuning and optimization experience.
• Experience with large-scale data warehousing and analytics environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and other database objects.
• Create and optimize data models to support analytics, reporting, and BI initiatives.
• Develop and maintain fact and dimension tables using dimensional modeling best practices.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Snowflake SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
• Implement performance tuning strategies, including query optimization, clustering keys, and warehouse sizing.
• Monitor and improve Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain materialized views, streams, tasks, and other Snowflake-native features.
• Partner with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across Snowflake environments.
• Support ongoing enhancements to the enterprise data warehouse and analytics ecosystem.
