Communities-Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Business Management Consultant to provide direct, one-on-one management consulting for startups and small businesses across our seven-state service area.

The role emphasizes trainings, workshops, and building local partnerships, with the candidate ideally working from home while residing in Central Mississippi. Key duties include conducting financial and operational assessments, developing service scopes and financial projections, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, management, finance, administration, or related field plus 1 year in relevant roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, administration, or related field plus 5 years in relevant roles.
• Excellent facilitation, writing, communication, computer, and analysis skills.
• Ability to develop workshops for small business management consulting.
• Ability to reach out and build partnerships in target communities.
• Ability to work one-on-one with entrepreneurs to build business skills and management capacity.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and operate a vehicle.
• Authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational assessments for small business clients and recommend growth strategies.
• Develop scopes of services, financial projections, and actionable plans for clients.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, business owners, and partners.
• Maintain accurate client documentation, reporting, and timekeeping; support team collaboration.
