Job summary

Atrium Health's Wellness Hub - Sleep Medicine in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant I for a full-time position. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $22.90–$34.35 per hour.

The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, medication reconciliation, history taking, basic labs, specimen handling, and assisting providers with procedures. A high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA program or structured clinical training preferred.
• Two years of clinical practice experience as a Medical Assistant is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies in patient care.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, history, medication reconciliation, screenings.
• Assists providers with procedures and labs; handles specimen processing and POCT.
• Administers vaccines following proper medication administration rights.
• Maintains clean work environment and stock; supports training of teammates.
