Job summary

Trades Connector in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a motivated Skilled Trades Recruiter to scale recruiting for commercial construction projects. You will build pipelines, screen candidates, and coordinate submissions across multiple markets in a fast-paced startup.

The ideal candidate brings recruiting experience, excellent communication, and a results-driven mindset, with ATS familiarity. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and you will work remotely from Phoenix or surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Previous recruiting experience required; staffing agency experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with candidates from a variety of backgrounds.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset and a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple open positions and shifting priorities.
• Adaptability and comfort working in a growing startup where processes continue to evolve.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS); Avionté experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of commercial construction or skilled trades is a plus, but not required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades and general labor positions supporting commercial construction projects.
• Source, screen, and interview candidates to assess trade experience, skill level, certifications, availability, and project fit.
• Build and continuously develop a pipeline of qualified tradespeople to support current openings and anticipated growth across multiple markets.
• Partner with the team to prioritize client orders, align recruiting efforts with project requirements, and fill positions efficiently.
• Coordinate candidate submissions, onboarding, and placement logistics.
• Maintain accurate candidate profiles, screening notes, qualifications, and availability in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Build strong candidate relationships through consistent communication, follow-ups, and ongoing engagement.
• Track assignments, project timelines, and anticipated end dates to support workforce planning and future placements.
• Verify required qualifications, licenses, certifications, and safety documentation before placement.
• Communicate recruiting progress, candidate availability, and potential staffing challenges proactively.
• Help develop and improve recruiting processes as the company grows and recruiting demands evolve.
