LILT is seeking talented freelance linguists to join our translation pool across Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and more. You will translate content between English and your native language, preserving nuance and clarity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to localize for your language markets.

You’ll edit for accuracy and tone, apply current language standards, provide feedback to improve language models, and support QA for digital tools.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s)
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time translation experience
• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
• Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.

Responsibilities

• Translate content between English and your native language while preserving cultural nuance and clarity.
• Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all deliverables.
• Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for your language-speaking markets.
• Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.
• If transcreation is required, the text should be creatively adapted beyond the source to ensure it reads naturally in the target language.
