Job summary

Minitab seeks a Simulation Consultant to support customers through the engagement lifecycle, delivering training, coaching, consulting, and timely support while ensuring high quality project delivery. The role involves collaborating across teams to design, validate, and implement discrete-event simulation models using Simul8, with an emphasis on turning model outputs into business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or closely related field (equivalent experience considered).
• 1+ years of experience building discrete-event simulation models to analyze processes or systems.
• Experience with discrete-event simulation software; Simul8 preferred; Arena/AnyLogic/Simio also considered.
• Understanding of simulation modelling principles: conceptualization, data analysis, validation, experimentation, and interpretation of results.
• Experience translating business problems into analytical or simulation-based solutions.
• Experience collaborating with customers or stakeholders to gather requirements and present technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Design, verify, and validate discrete-event simulation models using Simul8 to reflect customer processes.
• Deliver training, coaching, and consulting across the customer engagement lifecycle.
• Translate simulation outputs into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
• Facilitate model discovery sessions, workshops, and project reviews.
• Document model assumptions, data inputs, validation, experiments, results, and recommendations.
