Job summary

Slate seeks an SI&OP Data Scientist to own forecasting models and data-driven strategies across vehicle, parts, and merchandise lines. You will build and deploy time-series and ML models, ensure forecast accuracy, and work with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance to align production with demand.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data pipeline ownership, and KPI reporting while supporting monthly SI&OP cycles and continuous improvement in forecasting and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent.
• 6+ years of data science experience with SI&OP, Demand Planning, or business strategy preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML and predictive analytics for forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation.
• Proficiency with Excel and analytics tools (Tableau/Alteryx).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own forecasting models for SI&OP across Slate's units.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias; refine models accordingly.
• Partner with analysts for root-cause analyses of variances.
• Translate outputs into actionable operational insights for stakeholders.
• Design inventory optimization and safety stock strategies.
• Maintain data pipelines and dashboards for KPI tracking.
• Support monthly SI&OP cycles with analyses and presentations.
