Job summary

Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an experienced attorney to oversee and support firm-wide settlement operations. This in-house counsel role requires leadership of the settlement team, ensuring standardized processes and compliant handling of settlements across practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong legal judgment, client communication skills, and operational leadership. California licensure is required; this is a fully remote position for qualified CA attorneys.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school
• Active California license to practice law
• 7+ years of litigation experience with settlement exposure
• Experience overseeing settlement administration or trust accounting preferred
• Management or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of client funds, trust accounts, and ethics rules

Responsibilities

• Oversee firm-wide settlement function as centralized resource across practice areas
• Lead, mentor, and structure the settlement team and workflows
• Standardize settlement processes, timelines, approvals, and client communications
• Draft and approve settlement agreements, releases, filings, and related documents
• Advise Settlement Accounting on client trust accounts and disbursements
• Ensure compliance with state laws, court rules, and professional responsibility
