Job summary

ORR Protection, a national leader in fire and life safety, seeks a Service Sales Account Manager in Houston, TX. This outside sales role focuses on growing recurring inspections, testing, maintenance, and monitoring bookings for electronic and mechanical life-safety systems.

The role involves locating new customers, building relationships, and delivering cost-effective service solutions. Travel is required, with a strong base salary and uncapped earnings; remote work possible when not traveling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least three years of sales experience required.
• Experience in fire protection or a related industry preferred.
• NICET Fire Alarm certification preferred.
• SPIN Selling or Challenger sales training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business with customers in data centers, energy and power generation, industrial, manufacturing, telecommunications, cable and broadband, and other mission-critical facilities.
• Generate leads through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and industry events.
• Build relationships with decision makers, assess their needs, and develop cost-effective service solutions.
• Grow business with existing customers by identifying additional service opportunities.
• Partner with Operations to develop and review proposals and contracts.
• Negotiate and close sales of varying complexity, contract length, and value.
• Work toward an annual goal in testing, inspection and monitoring service contract bookings.
• Track leads, opportunities, and sales activity in the CRM.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel up to 35-40% of the time, including occasional overnight trips, to visit customers, conduct visual site surveys, and develop the territory.
• Work from home when not traveling or meeting with customers.
