Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to support billing, collections and adjudication for professional and hospital services. You will manage accounts receivable and cash flow to sustain operations and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include processing third-party billing, cash posting, AR resolution, and driving revenue enhancement; engaging with management to report trends and outcomes; and supporting quality initiatives within revenue management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years related work experience in billing and accounts receivable.
• Experience with professional and hospital billing and third-party payers is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional and/or hospital billing and collection functions including billing, secondary collections, cash posting, A/R resolution, adjustments, credit balance resolution, revenue enhancement and cash flow for clinical service lines.
• Ensures cost effectiveness and organizational efficiency of revenue management activities.
• Coordinates with other revenue management functions and third-party payers to optimize cash flow.
• Communicates activity to leadership and management regarding billing, insurance follow-up, cash flow, and revenue management results.
• Collaborates with other areas to ensure coordinated revenue management needs.
• Participates in at least 60 hours of classroom training per year.
• Contributes to development of strategic plans and quality initiatives within revenue management.
• Maintains departmental operations within pre-determined limits and supports performance targets.
