Job summary

Geisinger Clinic is hiring a Revenue Cycle Specialist to bill, collect, analyze, and adjudicate professional and hospital claims. You will manage accounts receivable, ensure cash flow, and support strategic initiatives across clinical service lines.

With a minimum of 3 years' related experience and a High School Diploma or GED (associate's preferred), you will collaborate with payer partners, analysts, and leadership to drive accuracy and efficiency in billing and revenue management.

Qualifications

• Billing and collection for professional and hospital revenue management.
• Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Billing and collection for third-party payers, adjustments, cash posting, A/R resolution, revenue enhancement and cash flow for service lines.
• Ensure cost effectiveness and organizational efficiency within revenue management.
• Coordinate with other revenue areas and all third-party payers across service lines.
• Communicate activities to leadership on billing, insurance follow-up, cash flow and profitability.
• Work with other areas to ensure coordinated revenue management needs.
• Participate in at least 60 hours of classroom training per year.
• Contribute to development of strategic plans when required.
• Develop and direct quality initiatives to monitor and improve revenue processes.
• Manage departmental operations to meet performance targets.
• Provide trend and issue analysis to supervisor and manager.
