Job summary

Bixal seeks a Senior SEO Specialist to lead the program's search strategy across public-facing websites, applications, and social channels. The role drives technical and content optimization, schema markup, and voice search initiatives for a large government-facing outreach effort, aligned with federal compliance and security standards.

The position is remote-friendly within the USA, with a one-year base contract and potential extensions. A Secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• BA/BS in Marketing, Digital Communications, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on SEO experience across technical, on-page, and content strategy.
• Experience with SEO analytics tools and delivering data-driven reports to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of schema markup, site speed, and technical SEO diagnostics.
• Proven ability to develop keyword strategy rooted in user intent and long-tail search.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SEO program with regular performance analyses against federal standards.
• Establish baseline metrics and KPIs; report progress against targets.
• Analyze visibility, user behavior, conversions, and technical SEO health; drive optimization.
• Conduct SEO validation checks and coordinate remediation with technical teams.
• Lead keyword research; implement internal linking, schema markup, and site-speed optimizations.
• Develop and execute link-building and content-promotion strategies to build domain authority.
• Extend SEO strategy to voice search and event-specific landing pages.
• Incorporate audience research into keyword targeting and content priorities.
• Contribute SEO test scenarios to usability testing and translate findings into optimizations.
• Advise across content strategy to embed SEO in planning and governance.
• Guide content teams on SEO best practices for new and updated content.
• Provide SEO input to paid and earned media planning for reach and relevance.
• Ensure social content is optimized for searchability and discovery.
• Provide keyword trends guidance to social planning and editorial calendars.
• Deliver staff training and workshops on SEO best practices.
• Present SEO findings and recommendations to government stakeholders.
• Perform other relevant duties as qualified.
