Job summary

Cannabis Creative Group is seeking a Content Writer who loves long-form writing and can also produce punchy short-form copy for campaigns. You’ll craft blogs, guides, and website pages that educate readers, build client authority, and rank in search.

You’ll also write ad copy for paid search and social campaigns, with SEO basics and the opportunity to deepen skills. This remote role is contract-to-hire, 20–30 hours weekly, starting immediately, with potential to go permanent.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional content writing experience.
• Portfolio with long-form samples (blogs, articles, or website content).
• Experience writing short-form or ad copy.
• Strong research skills and the ability to write clearly about new or technical topics.
• Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals: keywords, on-page optimization, and meta tags.
• Interest in building deeper SEO skills.
• Excellent grammar, self-editing, and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and comfort taking feedback.
• Availability for 20-30 hours per week and the ability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Research and write blog posts, articles, guides, and other long-form content for client brands.
• Write and refresh website pages, including service, product, location, and landing pages.
• Turn keyword research and briefs into well-structured, readable content that ranks.
• Pitch content ideas and help plan editorial calendars that attract and convert customers.
• Update and optimize existing content to improve performance.
• Write meta titles, meta descriptions, and headers.
• Adapt tone and voice to each client’s brand and audience.
• Write ad copy for paid search, paid social, and display campaigns.
• Write headline and copy variations for testing.
• Support email, social, and promotional copy as needed.
• Conduct keyword research to guide new content and improve existing pages.
• Learn and support technical SEO audits and competitive analysis.
• Track content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and Moz (or similar).
• Collaborate with strategists, designers, and account managers.
• Write within the advertising and compliance limits of the cannabis and CBD industry.
• Meet deadlines across multiple clients at once.
