The Remote Sensing Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and managing remotely sensed data. Technicians will work with various types of imagery and sensor data, ensuring data quality and contributing to the extraction of valuable information.

Physical Demands

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Work is performed in a field setting. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate sensors, computers, keyboards, and mice. Use of a telephone headset will facilitate virtual communication via Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. The job requires sitting for prolonged periods, handling objects with hands/fingers, reaching with arms, speaking, and hearing. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as focus adjustment.
