- Support analysis in mission areas including geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, and/or space protection
- Provide analysis supporting research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and emerging customer space-based sensing architectures
- Perform architecture evaluation modeling of overall performance using in-house or custom-developed analysis tools
- Work with senior staff, management, and team members to translate customer needs into project objectives
- Provide quality-controlled and assured deliverables to customer organizations
- Develop and present technically accurate presentations and reports communicating analysis results and recommended solutions
- Communicate results to technical leads, management, and customers
- Provide initial assessments and defend unanticipated results to internal and external stakeholders
- Aid in sustaining, developing, and growing the organization’s analysis and simulation capabilities
- Carry out analysis driving recommendations for legacy and emerging remote sensing architectures
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college/university program in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field from an accredited program, pursuing or conferred within last 12 months
- 0-1 years of relevant professional, technical work experience post bachelor’s degree
- Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 with transcripts
- Familiarity with one or more software languages, including Python, C/C++, and/or High-Performance Computing/Linux environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US government
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
- Current, active TS/SCI security clearance or SAP accesses is an advantage
- Significant experience in listed functional/mission areas is an advantage
- Knowledge of Intelligence Community or US Department of Defense business practices, acquisition policies, or space mission portfolios is an advantage
- Ability to self-manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
- Ability to maintain deliverable quality and manage customer expectations
- Ability to take direction, work independently, and develop productive working relationships
- Ability to interact and collaborate across a diverse team in different locations
