Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Senior Worker's Compensation Specialist for a remote role that oversees the full lifecycle of workers' compensation and employee injury claims—from initial report through settlement.

Ideal candidates will be versed in Missouri and Illinois workers' compensation regulations and will coordinate medical treatment, settlements, and legal interactions with internal teams and external counsel.

Qualifications

• Experience processing workers' compensation claims.
• Familiarity with state filing dates and procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology in work-related injuries.

Responsibilities

• Process workers’ compensation claims from report to final resolution.
• Determine compensability, coordinate medical treatment, and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Develop trainings for employees on workers’ compensation rights and processes.
• Maintain reserves and coordinate with insurers and legal partners.
