Job summary

Industrial Commission of Arizona is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster 2 to lead complex investigations and oversee bad faith/unfair claims processing. The role emphasizes statutory oversight, audits, and training within the Claims Division in Phoenix, AZ.

The position may offer remote work within Arizona and requires deep knowledge of the Arizona Workers’ Compensation Act along with precise data analysis and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Title 23, Chapter 6 of the ARS (Arizona Workers' Compensation Act).
• Experience with claims handling and regulatory enforcement is preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex insurance, medical, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Identify, review, and process requests for 1061M and complaints of bad faith or unfair claims practices.
• Track payer claim status and make lifetime award determinations using Salesforce and other reporting tools.
• Conduct audits and research to identify compliance issues and develop programs to improve quality and compliance.
• Provide training and technical guidance to internal and external customers on complex claim issues.
• Support annual claims seminars and update the Claims Manual with dynamic presentations.
