This range is provided by Kforce Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Senior UX/UI Designer (Compliance PAAS). Summary: We are seeking a candidate with previous Compliance and Security Software product experience and a track record of designing/developing UIs from concept. This will be the first hire within our UI/UX team. The Senior Designer's realm includes both the user experience (UX - user journey) and the user interface (UI - visual elements and interactions). The Senior Designer creates UIs that are intuitive, visually stunning and modern, easy to use, and that follow the company brand guidelines. The Senior UX & UI Designer works closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and requirements, conduct user research, and transform insights into innovative design solutions. What You'll Do: Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
  • Work closely with the writing team to develop intuitive UI designs and labels
  • Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of design solutions
  • Participate in daily standups and biweekly demos to stay in the loop
  • Deliver designs on time to keep the wheels rolling

Research & Testing:

  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user needs and preferences
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in UX & UI design and research
  • Evangelize your learnings with the team and incorporate them into your work

UI design & prototyping:

  • Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and design principles and meet accessibility requirements
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts and user interactions
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing results
  • Maintain an intuitive design system handbook

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a UI or UI Designer (or similar role)
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your design projects and work methodologies
  • Proficiency in Figma, or other design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify your design decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience working in agile development environments
  • Experience happily working with a globally distributed team
  • Strong communications skills and daily transparency on your progress with team members
  • Experience successfully mentoring other team members

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
