Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years dedicated trusts and estates experience preferred, with 3 to 5 years considered.
• Strong background in estate, gift and transfer tax issues.
• Experience drafting complex estate planning documents.
• Illinois Bar admission or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Ability to manage matters independently and mentor junior team members.
• Fully remote role with 1,800 billable hours expectation.
• Base salary of $270,000 to $320,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise high net worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate, gift and generation skipping transfer tax planning.
• Structure and implement wealth transfer strategies, including complex trust arrangements and multigenerational planning.
• Draft complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and related instruments.
• Handle trust and estate administration, including coordinating valuations, distributions and related tax reporting.
• Manage matters with substantial autonomy while working closely with partners on strategy and client relationship development.
